I must say I was very eager and excited about the prospect of giving an interview at Hilti, I had applied for a warehouse role at Mississauga, Ont. The process began late January 2020 where I was called for a face to face interview. It last about an hour. A week later I got a warehouse tour invite. Here I met 2 supervisors and got some insights about the work processes. Post that I did not hear anything from them. After numerous calls and emails, I got an update somewhere around March end saying that they had frozen the recruitment process. Then in July I get another mail telling me to come for another interview. This time again the manager explained about the delay in the whole process from my last interview till date and asked me a couple of more questions. After that I was sent for another warehouse tour. This time it was with 2 other team leaders. The meeting with them completely changed my perception towards the company. The first person was someone who had recently got transferred from Hilti India. He asked me more questions than the manager had! Also he was very disrespectful and constantly tried to degrade my past work experience'. Also too many personal questions were asked. The next person too displayed the same attitude and even checked if I was lying by asking me to drive a reach truck! I might be wrong but from what I read about working at Hilti, I was rather taken aback by the unprofessional culture prevalent here. I left not only very depressed but shocked too.
