I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at HiveMQ
Interview
I did not apply nor advertised any interest in changing jobs but I was contacted by them via Linkedin out of the blue, which is very nice, especially when the offered job and the company seems like such a nice fit for my knowledge and interests. But at the time I was not interested in their offering as I was barely 6 months at my current job (as a contractor) and I was pretty happy with it. Still, I genuinely liked the proposal and also wanted to be polite so I replied to the message thanking them and saying that maybe I'll reconsider it in a year or so, given that this particular position seems to be continuously open on their carriers page. My thank you note got 0 replies, which is not a big surprise really, as most LinkedIn interactions these days are not much different from Tinder.
When my current contract finished after one year I noticed the said position was still open and applied using Linkedin easy apply. They responded and we booked a 30 minutes screening interview. During the interview, besides many other things, I learned what are the next steps of the process and was told that in a few days I'll have an answer from them if they intend to continue or not. Did not hear anything back from them and some weeks passed since then. Also no reply to my inquiry a week later about the state of the process.
Guys, please do not ghost your candidates; a simple thank-you-but-we-have-other-options is fine.

A Shockingly Unprofessional and Disrespectful Interview Experience with HiveMQ I feel compelled to share my utterly dismayed and infuriating interview experience with HiveMQ for a position within their company. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect displayed throughout the entire process was not only shocking but downright disgraceful. From the very beginning, HiveMQ demonstrated a stunning lack of organization and consideration for candidates. The initial communication was marred by disarray, with delayed responses and a complete disregard for timely and transparent updates. This lack of professionalism in basic communication set a disheartening tone for the entire interview process. As the interview day finally arrived, I expected a modicum of preparation and competence. However, what unfolded was a complete debacle. The interview panel's incompetence was glaringly apparent as they asked repetitive and irrelevant questions, showcasing their total lack of familiarity with my background. It became painfully clear that they had not taken the time to thoroughly review my resume or tailor the interview to my qualifications. This level of negligence and disregard for candidates is simply inexcusable. To make matters worse, the interviewers displayed an abhorrent lack of professionalism and respect. They callously interrupted me throughout the conversation, showing a complete disregard for my ability to articulate my skills and experiences. Their condescending and dismissive demeanor was not only offensive but demonstrated a complete disregard for the value and worth of candidates. In addition to the distressing lack of professionalism, HiveMQ failed to provide any transparency regarding their company culture and expectations. The interview process completely omitted the opportunity to interact with potential team members or gain insights into the work environment. Such negligence in providing candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the company only raises doubts about HiveMQ's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace. The post-interview follow-up was an absolute disgrace. Despite assurances of timely feedback, HiveMQ left me hanging for an unreasonable amount of time. When I finally mustered the courage to inquire about the status of my application, I received a generic rejection email that offered no valuable feedback or constructive criticism. This blatant disregard for candidates' efforts and aspirations is not only disrespectful but a testament to HiveMQ's utter lack of professionalism and basic human decency. In conclusion, my interview experience with HiveMQ was nothing short of a nightmarish ordeal. The pervasive unprofessionalism, disrespect, and negligence demonstrated by HiveMQ throughout the process are nothing less than disgraceful. I strongly caution prospective candidates against subjecting themselves to such a demeaning and unprofessional environment. HiveMQ must urgently address these severe shortcomings and overhaul their interview process to ensure a fair, respectful, and considerate experience for all candidates. Anything less is a blatant disregard for the fundamental principles of professionalism and human decency.
