The interview process started with a recruiter screening, which was conversational and focused on getting to know my background and motivation. I introduced myself, and the recruiter asked why I wanted to join Holidu, about my previous experience in general (without going too technical), and about the project I’m most proud of as well as one I’m less proud of. The recruiter also explained the company, the role, and the full interview process, which consists of four stages. Overall, it was a warm, engaging, and welcoming conversation.
The second stage was a deeper discussion with two senior engineers about my past experience. We went into more detail about the project I’m most proud of, this time from a more technical perspective. They also asked about the impact I had in previous projects, my motivation for joining Holidu, and how I usually work — for example, my level of ownership, collaboration in teams, and involvement in different parts of a project. The interviewers were patient, asked clear and relevant questions, and created a comfortable atmosphere.
The third stage is a technical interview focused on live coding / pair programming to solve a problem, followed by backend-related technical questions.
The final stage is a conversation with the team, more like a coffee chat, to get to know each other better and assess team fit.
Overall, the process felt well structured, professional, and friendly.
