Interview
Throughout the INCREDIBLY long interview process, I noticed one thing, Holler’s favorite catchphrase is, “We have a Black CEO!”. But… Even on their website, you REALLY have to dig to find any of this diversity they love to talk about, and it’s kind of non-existent outside of a “buzz-word”.
Where is it?
Companies preach it but never act on it and Holler is blindingly not diverse.
Toward the end of the interview process I accepted an offer from another Company cause Holler took such a long time to act. But had they made me an offer, after having to play “find the diversity in a haystack” on their site I would’ve passed.
“We have a Black CEO! Please don’t look beneath the surface!”
Things that make you go “hmmm?”
I applied online. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Holler (New York, NY) in Jan 2015
Interview
Applied for the position via Indeed.com. Received an immediate response for an interview on the Eve of Christmas. Asked to postpone due to a flight but I cancelled the flight to do it on the Eve of Christmas.
Day of interview:
3 minutes prior to the interview. I get a generic email saying, "after reviewing your application, you are unfortunately not suited for the job".
very professional to look at a candidate for a job 10 minutes before the interview knowing that the interviewee had CANCELLED their flight for CHRISTMAS for the interview.
Thanks and good luck with your business with such professionalism.
