I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Youngstown, OH) in June 2010
Interview
A friend told me that Hollister was hiring (little did I know at the time that Hollister is ALWAYS hiring..). So I went in and asked for an application. After filling that out on the computer, I was told when to come in for an interview. I went in on that date and interviewed; they asked a lot of questions pertaining to why I fit the job and what not... pretty basic questions that did not require much thought for a good answer. About a week later I was told I got the job.

Question 1
None of the questions are difficult. I am pretty sure the managers also hire people based on their "look" - whether they fit the bill as someone who would typically shop at and wear Hollister Co. So make sure to wear Hollister cloths, if anything.
It was very easy. they asked you about your retail experience and asked behavior questions that were very easy to answer. So I thought it was straight forward in my humble opinion
Apply online and invited to group interview with approx. 5 other people. The interview is in a casual environment e.g. in the shopfloor, interviewer was welcoming and easy to get along with
