I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Hologic (Danbury, CT)
Interview
Initial phone screen with hiring manager, followed by multiple other calls and 2 on-site interviews. A third of the discussions were with HR, reflective of an organization that wants employees to drink the Kool-Aid. Lots of ex-J&J personnel, so this doesn't come as a surprise. I already accepted a position with another firm by the time they decided I wasn't a right fit. Fortunately my new firm moved at three times their speed and Hologic is S-L-O-W in its decision making; counter to what they stated.
I'm very satisfied with respect to our mutual decision, particularly given their low margins for a med device firm. These will only shrink over time given reimbursement pressure from third party payors, patient and medical advocacy groups calling for a reduction in unnecessary radiologic screening (even low dose) and molecular diagnostics will stratify patient groups into those that should undergo annual/bi-annual exams.
Thank you for your candid feedback. Our goal at Hologic is to provide each and every candidate a positive experience. We recognize that your hiring process was lengthy, however we ensure you that this is not common. We plan to share this feedback with the hiring team to improve the process and future candidate interactions.
