Thank god for Glassdoor. This is one of those companies that I should have KNOWN was shady from the minute I saw their job posting. When I spoke to someone at Holos, he talked about the position being in charge of "marketing presentations" and "establishing new accounts." These responsibilities, of course, have a pretty specific professional meaning in a marketing context. I have experience setting up presentations for big clients and chasing leads for new accounts in actual marketing departments at actual businesses, so I happily set up an interview. When I checked Glassdoor and saw all the reviews about how it's actually door-to-door sales, I responded to the text message (side note: no legitimate business does business over TEXT) asking if it was true.
The response: "I assure you anything that was established over the phone was factual and was not intended to mislead. If you don't believe the details described to you are feasible then we surely understand."
Not only blaming me for "misunderstanding" their blatant lies, but also throwing in some big words to look good, I guess. I canceled the interview, obviously. Save your time, don't bother with these wannabes.
