I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Edmonton, AB) in June 2012
Interview
They gave me a booklet with a few questionnaires to answer. Once i submitted those I was invited to a face to face interview with an HR representative and the man who would be my supervisor. It was a very casual and comfortable environment. They didn't make me feel nervous.

Question 1
Many of the questions were situational questions. A few questions were asked about my previous work experience, my schooling, and then finally some questions about my personal life (hobbies, extracurricular activities).
The interview process consisted of one in person interview. Most of the questions that were asked revolved around possible scenarios that would arise while on the shift and how you would handle it.

It's directly interview only.One has to apply online from home depot website and you will get a call from it and just appear there. They are updating it regularly.They have a job fair as well in which you can directly go to the unit for appear in interview.

Interview
Job fair: 5 minute interview, with an HR rep. (Three open ended behavioral questions)
1 Month later, I was called for instore interview: 40 minutes long, with store manager. (Six open ended experience /costumer interaction questions that asked for detailed examples)
4 days later, I was called for HR interview, which provided a formal job offer. (Asked me 1. Why Home Depot? 2. What do you see yourself doing in the future (say staying there, advancing, be honest!) 3. Do you have any questions for me? It is always a good to have questions to ask that are positive in tone.
Note that I have 10+ years of construction work experience, and am looking forward to this sales- based opportunity.
