The first interview consisted of an algorithm question and a whiteboard exercise. Unfortunately, the interviewer’s behavior made the experience unpleasant. He was often on his phone during the interview, while simultaneously criticizing my approach. His comments were sarcastic and dismissive, and instead of providing constructive feedback, he repeatedly stated that my direction was completely wrong, even though I was actively progressing toward a solution. I had always considered this company a great place to work and was genuinely excited about the opportunity. Unfortunately, this interview experience significantly changed that perception and left me with little desire to continue the process.
