I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Honeyfund in May 2025
Interview
The application process at Honeyfund was straightforward. I submitted my resume along with an overview of my experience. They also asked a few questions to ensure alignment with their culture as well as adaptability to AI and the tech world. Most of the communication was done via email, which was very convenient.
The first step was a brief 30-45 minute phone screening. During this call, they shared more about the company culture, their vision, and the role in detail, which was great to learn about. They also asked about my past work history, why I wanted to work at Honeyfund, and essentially got to know me as a person.
Next, I had a one-hour Google Meet interview with the COO. This was more of a technical interview, focusing on my skill set, technical proficiency, and how I could contribute to the company culture.
Finally, I had another one-hour Google Meet interview with the Director of People. This interview was similar in format, emphasizing technical proficiency, my experience, and how I could support the company’s vision and goals.
I received an offer letter within a week of my final interview. Throughout the entire process, every person I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely willing to help. They answered all of my questions and made the process feel welcoming. Some of the questions were challenging, but it was clear that the interviewers truly cared about the company and wanted candidates to succeed.

Interview
I had a great experience throughout the interview process. Each interview was scheduled promptly, even in the middle of summer, when things usually slow down. Communication was clear and timely, and the hiring manager kept me informed about next steps. The interview itself was well-balanced, offering just the right amount of insight into the company, team structure, and role expectations without it feeling overwhelming. What stood out most to me was learning that the position was open not because someone had left, but because the team member was growing into a new role. That speaks volumes about the company’s culture.
Overall, it was a professional, transparent process that left me with a positive impression of the company.

Interview
Weirdest job interview of my life. First interview was 20 minute call with the CEO and at no point did she a) give me any overview about the company/role or b) ask me to tell her about myself or introduce myself.
Instead she asked me hyper specific examples and demanded results and metrics. Some for projects I did 5+ years ago, like I would know the complex campaign #’s off the top of my head. I would understand maybe if this was a second or third interview or even a short written assignment but for a first interview this kind of questioning felt bizarre.
