I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Honeywell (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
I was exposed to Honeywell UOP at a conference back in California for Chemical Engineers. They were looking to hire Chemical Engineering interns for the summer and after handing in my resume and speaking with a recruiter there, I received a call that night for an interview the next morning. The interview was at a cafe where the conference took place. Most of the questions asked there were behavioral questions, knowledge on the company, and career outlooks. My advice to those applying for an internship there would be to do your homework on the company, know your resume in detail, and be enthusiastic!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
This isn't the most difficult one, but be prepared to answer: What do you like about Honeywell UOP?
The interview process consisted of multiple rounds. It started with an online coding assessment to evaluate problem-solving and programming skills. Candidates who cleared the assessment proceeded to the technical interview, where questions were asked on Data Structures and Algorithms, programming concepts, and project experience. This was followed by an HR discussion focusing on communication skills, teamwork, and career goals. Throughout the process, the interviewers were professional and supportive, and the experience provided a good opportunity to showcase both technical and interpersonal skills.
