Started with asking questions about myself and what I like to do on my downtime. What work experience I have. What past jobs I have worked at. How many jobs I have been with
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hopdoddy Burger Bar (Newport Beach, CA) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process for the Hopdoddy location I interviewed for was unnecessarily long, I had to go through three interviews before receiving an offer which seems like a bit much considering it's for a front of house position in a casual restaurant.
I did receive an offer however it seems like the management at this location is not very organized. I signed an offer letter and for whatever reason they were not able to find it in their system, it had gotten to the point where it was over a week since signing my offer letter and there had been no progress on the hiring process so I decided to decline the offer and accept a position elsewhere. It's a bit frustrating knowing that I could have already been working somewhere else if I didn't waste my time waiting for the restaurant management to get moving on my hiring process.
The interview process was simple—I had one behavioral interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed my experience and situational responses. Communication was clear, and I heard back quickly. I got hired within 2 days, and there were 3 days of training afterward
