      Sales Director Interview

      30 Mar 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Hopper (New York, NY) in Mar 2026

      Interview

I had an interview with the recruiter, and a second interview with someone from Ad Ops. Then, they moved me onto the 'loop' part of their interview where I would interview back to back with the VP of Sales/Product and then the Head of Sales. They had me prepare a presentation which took about 3 hours of my time. They gave a speaking cue, but I spent time creating graphics, telling a compelling story, and utilize my extensive skills. On the day of the 'loop' interview, the VP of Sales/ Product cancelled, but I went ahead with the presentation for the Head of Sales. They recorded my presentation with materials (to use for themselves, I guess), she gave me little feedback, and the same day I received a rejection email saying that the position had already been filled, so there was no longer headcount. I feel used and disrespected. This was a terrible and unprofessional experience.
