Horry Telephone interview questions

They called within one day to set up an interview. Person was nice on the phone. they want 4 professional references witch I think is a lot. They also do the interview by zoom.

Applied online, was called the following day to set up a phone screen. The phone screen was with HR and Director of Accounting. After the phone interview they started calling all my references and scrutinized them for about 25 minutes. After they called my references they scheduled me for a face to face interview. I met with HR, Director of Accounting, Supervisor, and a coworker. When my interview was over they gave me an Accounting test. The next day I was contacted by HR and asked for direct lines for HR references. I emailed them back to her ASAP. 3 months later they told me they were pursuing other candidates. Advice to them would be to not waste my references time until you are serious about the candidate.
