The recruiter contacted me via Linkedin for a short call to discuss the potential role. The role is in-sight fully which made me turn down the next calls. The BDM role will require someone who is more experienced in enterprise account handling

Interview
Phone/Zoom call with interviewer. I was asked to complete a take home task. The recruiter said that usually candidates complete it after about 5 days, this seemed excessive, but after checking the test it was clear why. I spent about 5 hours on it, but one could probably comfortably spend about 15. This is too much. Perhaps they have great engineers which know how to build stuff, but they certainly lack in their interview skills/processes. They need to scope this test down. Anyway, they were perhaps the biggest time waster for me so I would not recommend them, hence I may as well spend few extra minutes giving this review.

Question 1
The task was to build a service using Java. The ask is quite vanilla REST calls for basic CRUD operations. There should be 3 API calls (mainly for creating / updating data) and a GET call. key things: - validation - pagination - persistance - concurrency There is no template provided so you can feel free to make everything as you like from scratch.
