I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Humanism & Electronic Commerce (Irvine, CA)
Interview
I applied online and was contacted via e-mail to schedule an interview during some pre-scheduled slots. Only spoke with 1 person during the long, exhaustive 2 hour interview. The interview was fairly basic and standard - discussed job responsibilities and requirements, my skills and background, company culture and environment, as well as some personal questions, etc. No tests or particularly challenging questions.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Humanism & Electronic Commerce (Irvine, CA) in July 2015
Interview
A little longer than an hour. Asked a few questions on php knowledge. Nothing really too advanced. Also asked me some questions on Magento, probably would have asked more had I had more experience with Magento,
At the end, they had me do a test where i had to write a function to print out a binary tree when given a certain depth.
The people who did the interview were great. They were friendly, casual, and the interview didn't feel too formal. I was comfortable, and the interview overall went pretty well.
Also when i couldn't answer something, they provided great detail into helping me understand what i couldn't answer.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Humanism & Electronic Commerce (Irvine, CA) in Sept 2014
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who asked for work samples of apps I have worked on in the past. I sent him a PDF portfolio. Soon after, he set up an in person interview, and instructed me to print out a physical copy of my portfolio. I was interviewed by two people at once. The recruiter advised formal attire, but the interviewers arrived in jeans and t-shirts and the interview itself was a bit more casual than I had been expecting. They were fine with me showing them an app I had created on my own phone, and at one point whipped out a tablet to look up projects I had worked on.
