They do prefer if you have a teaching degree, but when I told them I had an engineering degree, showed them a transcript, said that I was working towards my teaching license, and agreed to take the SAT math portion to show my competency, I was a shoe-in.
I'm supposed to have at least 50 words for this section, but the interview was really that simple.

The process was easy. I had to complete 5 modules for training. It took two days for the whole training and then you shadow someone. The shadowing really helps because you get to practice all the skills you learned.

Quick and easy. Resume did most of the talking. They're looking for strong communicators and passionate teachers. If you're trying to become a math tutor, they prefer tutors that can teach higher level math such as stats, trig, and calc.

A few questions. asked self introduction, related teaching experience, the way of teaching, how to deal with trouble , introduced the work routine in the center. The talk was easy and friendly.
