I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hy-Vee (Oskaloosa, IA) in June 2011
Interview
I met with the store manager in the Hy-vee cafe. It was a very smooth process with easy question for me to answer. It was your basic questions that any entry level position would ask and the manager was easy to talk to. This was a job i was looking for while finishing up my Grad program.
In-person interview scheduled via a texted link. Interview lasted about 25 minutes. It was 1-on-1 with the HR rep. We sat in a booth in the Wahlburger's part of the store.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hy-Vee (Springfield, IL) in Mar 2018
Interview
I was brought into the office and at the manager's desk he explained to me that he expects employees to "hustle." After the interview he fast-walked me back up to the customer service desk, like a race. I was supposed to keep up and somehow prove I could "hustle." I've seen the employees "hustling," I shop there. They don't.
