The interview was basically the CTO attempting to tell me about his company, but he meandered so much I left without any understanding of the business, except that it was financial software. He asked me to explain my background but didn't really pry on anything I had said technology-wise. My opinion is that I basically could have thrown out some DevOps buzzwords and been hired, as the man probably has virtually zero practical knowledge of the tools he requested in the posting. It took him all of 5-10 minutes to complete the interview and he offered the job within a couple days. I was honestly afraid to accept it because he almost pitched it as if it were a pyramid scheme. I'm paraphrasing here my opinion of what was said, the space was "not yet regulated" and "no one else is doing this kind of lending".
