I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IMEC (Belgium) (Leuven) in July 2022
Interview
First interview was technical, second was with HR. Not a complex one. Conditions are diacussed during 2nd interview. Afterwards, there is a third round with assignment and presentation. This way is not nive for employed people in industry (target people are postdocs or phds). At least it is like that for R&D
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at IMEC (Belgium) (Leuven)
Interview
The application process took 3 months. First, there was a phone interview with two hiring managers, then a call with HR and finally a half-day interview at imec involving a presentation of my research background, a technical brainstorming discussion with a wider team of researchers and managers and talks with HR. While I enjoyed all the technical discussions, the process was very long, with sparse feedback. There can be a month long of silence before getting any news. Most baffling part, in the end I received positive feedback but I was rejected as the role was redefined.
