      Intake Coordinator Interview

      12 Sept 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at INTEGRIS Health in Sept 2025

      Interview

Happened very quickly. Submitted my application, about a week later I heard back to do a phone screening. The person who screened me was very nice and really helped make this job sound promising, as well as talked about a potential pay raise as my starting hourly compared to my current position. After that, I was set up to do a in-person interview with the manager of the department. There must of been some type of disconnect, because the vibe I got about this job varied among the talent acquisition, the manager, and the workers themselves. Manager told me about how he had 3 people leave recently, two of which he informed that he specifically fired. I’m not sure why I was informed of this. Then he seemed to try to curb my enthusiasm about the job because he proceeded to make this job sound way harder than what I was expecting. He also had stated “I don’t do callouts”, which I mean, I understand the importance of punctuality for a job, but we are human and things do pop up. I then spoke with the other Intake Coordinators, who were super nice and a complete pleasure to speak with. They said the job was pretty laid back, which was completely different vibe than what the manager gave off. Overall, the in-person interview was definitely part of the sign to not take the job. A few hours after my interview person interview, I did get a call about the job being offered to me, but the start date simply did not work because I was moving soon (and in all actuality, I was not expecting to hear back so soon after I had applied) but another thing that did make my decision for me was the pay; it was significantly lower than what was discussed. It would have actually have been a pay cut. They did inform they did raises based on merit annually, but of course I was disappointed they couldn’t have at least matched what I currently make. This, on top of the in person interview, is what ultimately help make my decision to pass the job.
