Applied online and then contacted by email by the recruiter. Was asked to fill out a lengthy online questionnaire with the SAME details as was in the online application. Was scheduled for a phone call with the recruiter within the same week. Phone call was based again on the SAME questionnaire and was then asked for availability for an onsite interview for the next week. Didn't hear back from the recruiter for some time. Followed up and was suddenly told to appear for onsite interview the next day. Not very professional as the recruiter knew I wasn't in the same city. Nevertheless, made it for the onsite. Interview panelists were mostly professional and nice but there was no structure to the interview. Four different interviewers. Asked mostly about projects in the past, style of work and a little into technical skills. One interviewer had a notebook with some technical jargon written about statistical methods. Wasn't satisfied with the responses unless I gave him certain "buzzwords". Felt like I was back in school honestly. He wasn't very familiar with some very COMMON python packages that I'd mentioned in my resume and told me to change the formatting of my resume so that "I don't make interviewers feel like they didn't know about them" hahah. Last part of the interview was a generic case study and that had absolutely no relation to the posting I interviewed for. All in all, a 3 hour onsite interview process which basically left me more confused about whether the company had its role defined or not. Was told I'd hear-back within the end of the week. Had to follow up twice and after a week heard back with a generic response.
