Apply in USAJOBS.GOV then was invited to a panel interview. The questions were mostly "what would you do in this scenario" type questions along with some easy accounting questions. Be ready to present answers in STAR format. At the end of the interview I was able to ask questions. Not just standard interview candidate questions but more open questions like what are the pain points working for IRS, or how do you balance family life, etc.
