The interview process began in an unusual way. Rather than scheduling through email or phone, I was initially contacted through LinkedIn to arrange the interview. The first phone screening was fairly standard.
A few days later, I received another LinkedIn message asking if we could reconnect because they had an additional question. The question was not directly related to the responsibilities listed in the job posting, and the request was to connect the same day.
After taking time to reconnect and answer the question, I was told I would hear back the following day regarding next steps. Instead, nearly two weeks passed before I received another LinkedIn message indicating they had moved forward with another candidate. Shortly after, I noticed the role was reposted.
Overall, the experience highlighted the importance of clear communication and consistent timelines throughout the interview process.
