I applied online. I interviewed at Imperial Dade in Apr 2026
Interview
Phone screen with a recruiter followed by a Teams meeting with the hr supervisor and then a video recorded test. I received no communication after the Teams meeting and reached out to the recruiter. I reached out once more and finally received an update via a curt email from the recruiter. It was obvious this company and the recruiter were going to ghost if there was no follow up on my behalf. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth regarding the people who work here. The lack of professionalism and follow up is a strong indicator of the work environment at this company. Based on my experience as a candidate, the culture at imperial dade is definitely not someplace one would stay long term. I'm grateful that I continued interviewing and found a compatible role with a compatible team outside of imperial dade.

I applied online. I interviewed at Imperial Dade (Newark, NJ) in May 2025
Interview
My interview process for the Senior Financial Analyst role at Imperial Dade was thorough and focused on both technical financial skills and business communication.
The process started with an initial recruiter screening where we discussed my background in financial analysis, forecasting, and experience working with cross-functional teams. The recruiter also explained the responsibilities of the role and the structure of the finance team.
The next stage involved a case study assignment focused on building a forecasting model. I was asked to analyze financial data, develop a forecast, and prepare insights that could support business decision-making. After completing the model, I presented my analysis and recommendations to the Director of Finance and a Finance Manager. During the presentation, they asked detailed questions about my assumptions, modeling approach, and how I would explain the results to leadership.
The final stage of the process was an additional interview round with the VP of Finance, which was more strategic and conversational. The discussion focused on my experience supporting leadership teams, handling complex financial analyses, and communicating financial insights to executives.
Overall, the interview process was well structured and included a good balance of technical evaluation through the forecasting case study and leadership discussions. It provided an opportunity to demonstrate both analytical skills and the ability to present financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
