Got a call from HR (nisha chandilla). One face to face interview.
Total number of questions: 30 - 40
Out of which only 1 was from mysql, the guy told me to write a general joins query with no specific criteria, thats it.
All other questions he asked are from ruby or rails.
Interview went well and then this HR comes to me and gives me the reason for my rejection.
I am sorry to say this but you are not much good in mysql side and our client wants someone who is good in mysql. It was rather shocking coz the guy asked me just one mysql question out of 30-40 and that too i can guranttee on my life was correct.
The worst non-sense and illogical rejection that i got from ibtech. Even in their JD, i can't find a word on 'database', 'mysql' or any related term.
Now here comes the actual reason for my rejection. They told me a hike of 20-30% percent on my current CTC but in actual they don't have any budget for that too.
I have no idea why the HR agrreed in first place that they have the budget for same.
Think twice before applying. They can give you any random absurd reason for rejection.
