After around 4 weeks without hearing from anyone I received an email asking to set up a phone interview. The phone interview lasted an hour and I believe it went very well. She advised me to email her or call her with any additional questions that I might have. I thanked her and ended up emailing her around an hour later as a couple of questions came to mind and I wanted to thank her for her time again. I received no response. I waited around a week and sent a follow up email advising my strong interest in the position and let her know that I would be happy to provide any references needed to support my resume. No response. Apparently IU health does not provide emails to applicants stating they were not chosen for a position. It wasn't until another two weeks later that I logged on to see if there were any other jobs available (as I have been wanting to work with IU Health for many years) and noticed that my application stated I was not chosen.
It was completely unprofessional for my interviewer to not respond to either email, and poor practice for the IU Health to not send emails advising applicants of the decision. This was a very unfortunate experience.
