They want to know what you’re best at, why you do processes one way or the other, and then want you to be able to explain your logic. It’s a challenging process, which isn’t necessarily something that can be easily prepared for. You either are a top software engineer, or you’re not. Their goal is to try to sort you into one of the two choices in a few hours of time…not an easy task. However, they are going about it in an objective and quantitative manner, so I applaud them for that.
