I applied online. I interviewed at Infotech in Aug 2024
Interview
This company employs the practice of posting a job for 7 days as required by company policy, putting an external candidate through multiple rounds of difficult and time-consuming interviews, and then ultimately going with an internal candidate like they were planning to all along. This happened to me TWICE with this company, and I'm sad to say it was a huge waste of my time. I applied and interviewed for two different positions and was given the same runaround each time. I was told I was a top candidate for each job but ultimately they went with someone who was already working for the company because they "have more experience and knowledge in the software." How am I supposed to compete with someone who has knowledge of their propritery software? It is impossible. This tells me that A) they don't want to take the time and resources to train anyone new and B) they don't want to fork over a higher salary for an external candidate (we all know people within companies making lateral moves are getting very small increases in their salaries as opposed to onboarding a new employee, which is more expensive.) So please beware that if you land an interview with this company, ESPECIALLY if a recruiter reaches out to you first (i.e. on LinkedIn), there is a very good chance they are just using you for their due diligence of interviewing external candidates, all the while they never planned to hire an external candidate in the first place and had someone who already works there in mind. It was demoralizing to say the least.
We're sorry to hear that you found your experience with us to be demoralizing.
