Multiple interviews followed by silence. I requested updates multiple times with no response. Finally somebody got back to me and got a rejection explaining that my experience was good but better suited elsewhere. They offered to keep my resume on file and answer any questions about the process. I asked about the substance of my rejection, weeks went by, and with the HR/hiring manager not able to answer the question. Eventually I was told that the role wasn't filled and they decided to use freelance. A complete waste of time with no real transparency. How did the hiring manager know the role was closed and not filled and spent weeks chasing an answer to my question?
