Applied online, contacted by a recruiter. There were many red flags during this process. Recruiter said position would be hybrid, and when asked why the position required 3 days onsite, recruiter said it was for collaboration. Red flag. Collaboration can be done remotely and people have been doing it for 3 years at this point, especially for non-clinical roles. Seems like onsite requirement is for micromanagement. When asked about employee safety and culture, recruiter brought up special paint used to prevent germs at the office. The work environment is an open cubicle situation. Undesirable, especially during a pandemic. The position has been open for many, many months, and when asked why, the recruiter said they were in a period of growth, which doesn't make sense for a position to be open for that long due to growth. Red flag. The one on one interview with manager was not reassuring. Manager for this position did not even have the qualifications expected/listed as preferred for the role that they would be overseeing, and asked about different technical skills that they were unfamiliar with. Truly astounding, not in a good way, but I am grateful for the opportunity to spot red flags to avoid. Another review from a year ago mentioned similar issues with a lack of follow-up and notifications as well during the interview process. Overall, many red flags. save your time and search elsewhere.
