I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Insight M in Oct 2021
Interview
There were 3 total rounds of interviews: HR, engineering team, and the hiring manager. After the initial recruiter, I was given a fairly comprehensive programming exercise—very practically focused on implementing a solution to a problem/requirement and deploying it.
I followed that up with separate interviews with members of the engineering team that ran the gamut of behavioral questions, technical questions, operational details, etc... All were welcoming and easy to talk to, and they had a comfortable balance of pressing questions without being confrontational.
Finally, I spoke with the hiring manager where we discussed some aspects of my background more deeply and seeking additional detail from some of my previous interviews. There we also some important points about company mission and culture.

Question 1
One question was about designing a database schema for storing/accessing a hypothetical series of inputs similar to what they gather in their flights. As you provided a solution and justification, they'd add a new wrinkle/requirement to address.
Standard HR screening followed by a difficult take home. The question itself wasn't that difficult, but you need to deploy your project on a canary environment where some tests are run and give you a very vague hint about what went wrong. It was hard to debug, especially when they provide so few examples for you to test against (and if your code passes those examples!). A lot was expected out of this assignment.
