I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Instacart (Santa Monica, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
easy. you just have to go online to apply, go through the application process, pass a test or two on grocery store food items to see how much knowledge you have in produce and store items etc (you get unlimited times to test to get a better score), wait a long time to hear back, when you receive an email that you've been selected they will give you options to join orientation. go to orientation and give them information they need (such as your license etc), and then they supply you with your card, walk you through the app and other things to learn from and you're good to go.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Instacart (Lemoore, CA) in May 2021
Interview
There was no interview process you just apply online or through the shopper app. They run a background check and as soon as that went through they sent me a card and I was able to start shopping the only thing is sometimes they have a wait list I got lucky when I applied and there was no waitlist but some people have to wait months if there’s too many shoppers in their area.
