I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Instacart (Houston, TX) in Sept 2014
Interview
All interaction happens via internet and phone. Apply online and take a short quiz (choosing pictures of groceries based on description). If they like you, you'll receive and email to schedule an in-person group interview. In Houston, ours was in a public workspace. We downloaded the app and practiced in demo mode and I think he showed us some slides and had a bit of a q & a, too. If they like you, they send a welcome letter and you have to send license, car and bank info, ect. You set availability via the app and get to work the next week or sooner if there are shifts to pick up.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing really, but there were instructions on how to connect to wifi via your smart phone to download the shopper app. Too many of the people in my group struggled with this. I think those were the half that didn't get the tshirts at end. If you can't connect to the wifi, kids, try harder to figure it out.
Easy interview process including test shopping at a location. It was some time ago when I applied but I remember it being easy. It may have changed in the last couple years.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Instacart
Interview
There isn’t one they just do a background check and dmv report. I’m not sure what else to put but there is no interview for this position it is self employed
Online application process done entirely through your phone. Not so much an interview as you are self contracted, more so a background check. As expected from a position such as this
