I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Instacart (Seattle, WA) in June 2015
Interview
It was pretty easy and low key. There was simply an online application and an onboarding event. There wasn't an interview per se. Basically if you passed the background check you were hired. Shortly after you applied online they will run a basic background check. You'll be told the results in a few days. After that you'll go to one of the main stores in your area and do the onboarding day. It's fairly simply. Fill out some paperwork, do a demo shop, and take your lanyard and id that day.
Fill out online application.
They will do a background check.
You must be legally able to work in the US.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Sign an independent contractor agreement.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Th interview process was fairly different but easy, nothing too not understand. As I had applied online and had submitted permission got a free background check to be completed. Additional signing of paperwork with Id and so fourth.

No interview questions had been asked. A background check form processed then I was able to start.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Instacart (Lemoore, CA) in May 2021
Interview
There was no interview process you just apply online or through the shopper app. They run a background check and as soon as that went through they sent me a card and I was able to start shopping the only thing is sometimes they have a wait list I got lucky when I applied and there was no waitlist but some people have to wait months if there’s too many shoppers in their area.
