I applied in April, had a phone interview in July, then attended the interview at High Wycombe in August.
I had a terrible experience. I arrived half an hour before my interview was due to begin, and when I was called in for the interview, I was told that I had arrived late and that my interview was scheduled for 14:15, even though I was communicated via email that my interview was scheduled for 15:15!!
The process consisted of a presentation in front of a panel of Instron employees. Then I had an interview which consisted of both personal and technical questions. It seems like the staff were not trained in how to deal with potential employees because at some point it was commented that 'your english is very good', which I find is very rude and judgemental, not something to be expected from an international company.
After the interview, I tried multiple times get in touch with Instron regarding my reimbursement for travel expenses. It took weeks to finally get through to them.
Bad management and communication within the company, which is then blamed on potential employees/interviewees. Rude staff.
