I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Instructure (Sydney) in June 2018
Interview
Initial call with HR to understand the opportunity and myself a bit more. A week later I was invited to a group interview with their Hiring Manager as well as a peer.
I wasn't planning to review this interview experience but the recent Sydney review had stroke me to do it. The tone from them was unfriendly, hostile and arrogant to a certain extent. I wasn't given enough time to ask specific questions about the opportunity, let alone seeing myself working as a team with them.
Guess this isn't the way you "interrogate" potential candidates?
Overall very similar to other AE Ed tech role. Interview had initial screening, then with the hiring manager, and then with their VP of sales. Everyone was very friendly and were clear about their hiring goals.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Instructure (New York, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
A few informal conversations, followed by 3 rounds of interviews. First with RVP directly, then panel interview including a presentation exercise with the group of RVPs, then a meeting with the CRO.

Question 1
There is a 15m presentation with pretty relaxed guidelines.
The process included several interviews: phone screen, 1:1, panel interview on Teams. I enjoyed the interviews and thought they went well. After each one, I was told I would receive the next instructions, which I did until I didn't. After several follow-up emails...nothing. completely ghosted. Not at all the experience I would expect from Instructure.

What influenced me to apply with Instructure and specifically with that department?
