      SEO Manager Interview

      6 Sept 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insureon (Chicago, IL) in Sept 2022

      Interview

Initial phone interview. The interviewer was one of the most unengaged and uninterested people I've ever had a phone interview with. Basically completely monotone throughout the whole interview. They literally read the job description from the job post to me as fast as possible, then asked me prepared questions about SEO, of which they obviously had zero knowledge. There was basically no interaction or back and forth, to the extent that it felt like maybe I was just getting the call to fill a quota or something. The job description looked interesting, but there's very little chance good candidates are being pushed to the next round because the interviewer was in no way actually paying attention to or caring about what I was saying. Their loss I guess.
