In 2025, it's appalling to see companies waste applicants' time and fail to communicate effectively. I applied for the Demand Generation Manager position, went through all the interview rounds, and followed up multiple times—only to be met with complete silence. Not even a simple automated rejection was sent, which is both unprofessional and disrespectful.
When companies ask candidates to invest significant time and effort, it's the bare minimum to provide some form of acknowledgment, whether it's an update or a rejection. Ignoring applicants after multiple rounds reflects poorly on the company and shows a lack of basic professionalism.
If you expect candidates to demonstrate professionalism throughout the hiring process, the same standard should be applied by the company in return. Clear communication and respect for applicants' time are essential for maintaining a positive reputation and attracting top talent.
