I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at International Paper (Memphis, TN) in Sept 2013
Interview
After passing a telephone interview, I was asked to come in for a formal interview. I expected to meet with the Hiring Manager and possibly a direct Supervisor/Manager. I was not expecting to be subjected to several "panel" interviews of 3-4 people each asking me a barrage of questions. You would have thought that I was applying for a Senior Management position. Basically, the job sounded like it was going to be a glorified file clerk. If you need that many people to decide if someone is qualified for a clerical position, there is something seriously wrong with your hiring practices. After completing their interview process, I left thinking that I had just wasted several hours of my life that I would never get back. Because of that experience, I will never apply for another position at International Paper.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at International Paper (Memphis, TN) in Sept 2017
Interview
The whole process took around 2 weeks. I applied to International Paper through a hiring agency. They submitted my resume for the position. The next day (Thursday) I got a call for an interview for the following Wednesday. Day of the interview I met with 4 people. Easy interview, asked about experience and relation to job duties. Got a call Tuesday for an offer.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at International Paper (Memphis, TN) in Sept 2012
Interview
When I arrived, the employees were very nice to me. They offered me something to drink, and I waited approximately 20 minutes. I met my potential manager, and the general manager of the facility. They allowed me to tell them about myself, and then they started asking questions about my previous work experience. I gave them truthful answers.
