I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Intertek in Oct 2010
Interview
After being contacted by HR, a phone interview was set up with 2 gentlemen from the facility where they ran me through the job description and asked me basic questions about my background. Several days later I was contacted to set up an in-person interview with a senior manager. In this interview I was grilled on my experience working with other engineers and customers. (Overall, you'll deal with customers a lot in this company so I think they mainly want to weed out any of the typical socially awkward engineers who are terrible at dealing with people.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were no difficult technical questions, basically they just asked me to describe the the types of things I've done at other jobs to get a sense of my technical experience.
The first formal interview is conducted via phone call. This interview involves the hiring manager technical team. They ask questions about my experience, particularly focusing on my technical skills, such as functional safety, controls, or any specific expertise related to the role

Interview
Don't waste your time. Applied on LinkedIn and 1 week later got a call from HR. Then got an interview with 3 people. The people that interviewed me were the rudest people that I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. They were super rude and condescending and asked super hard technical questions. They made me do a whole risk analysis presentation before the interview and I did a ton of research and then they did not even give me a chance to do the presentation. Then they were super rude when I asked questions about the company. They treated me like I was stupid. Then they ended the interview after 20 minutes. They were super unprofessional. I do not think I will get an offer at all but on the one millionth chance that I did, I wouldn't take it because I do not want to work with a dumpster fire of people.
