I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Intertrust Technologies (Santa Clara, CA) in June 2019
Interview
Engineering team was very friendly and smart (some less than others). The problem with this company that it's run by liars. "Intertrust" is ironic name in this context. I told internal recruiter upfront that I'm soon moving for one year abroad and can visit office only occasionally. He assured me multiple times it's ok and they have offices in UK and Estonia. Last two people in my panel were supposed to be Sr. Director of Engineering and VP of Engineering but they were not available. Thus the last was their Sr. Architect whose team I was interviewing for. He told me that feedback from all interviewers was very positive. We discussed what areas of project I'll be working and etc. They said VP would call me next day via Hangout. It didn't happen but I've got email from recruiter asking to talk. On that call he said they've had round-table on which it was confirmed that everyone liked me and I have great personality as well but their VP (who never called) said they're not sure remote work is possible and asked me if I could stay for 3 months to get up to speed. They knew from the absolutely very beginning of work arrangement I can have and yet they lied to me, wasted my valuable time and valuable time of their team. When I pointed out that he knew everything from start he attempted to say that "you don't know some of the technologies we use, you have to fill all checkboxes and etc." and again it's something he knew because it's all on the resume. I HIGHLY not recommend wasting time for people who lie from the start. Even if I stayed for 3 months they could change their mind again. YOU LIED ONCE - YOU'LL LIE AGAIN.

Interview
Unprofressional experience.
- The recruiter contacted on email and setup a Skype interview with hiring managers who was based in India. After just 5 minutes of the call, the interviewer said that he has to rush for production issue and he will reschedule the call which is fine but there was no follow up from their side for 2 days. I had to close this loop by asking the recruiter that if they want to proceed with the interview or not. Then the recruiter scheduled it again. Now the second time, the hiring manager didn't even turn up for the Skype call ! I waited for 10 minutes and then wrote back to recruiter after which they scheduled it for the third time with another person. Finally that interview happened but it felt like the interviewer didn't have sufficient knowledge about the things and he was trying to learn from me and just repeating what I say like a student asks a tutor.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How did the native ads product work, what are the challenges did you face.
We are very sorry that you did not have a better experience while conducting a Skype interview. As you probably know from your experience, sometimes, the teams are very busy launching new features and that is why rescheduling may be inevitable or the interviewers may change. We appreciate your feedback and details provided. We are determined to provide best interview experience possible and will work on improving things on our side.
