I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intuitive (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2020
Interview
The interview process spanned over 3 - 4 weeks and consisted of 2 phone interviews and 2 onsite interviews. Phone interviews were between 30 mins to an hour long, and the onsite interviews took about 3 hours, for which I took off work to attend. The interviews were very intrinsic but still positive. I interviewed with not only the individuals that would be in the direct hierarchy, but also with those that I would be in support of. They seemed to be very set on not hiring someone they would later regret. I toured their Atlanta facility, and even got to demo one of their Da Vinci robots. After the last interview I waited 8 days for a response, that ended with me not getting the position. It came as a surprise due to the extensive process I had completed. Although disappointed, It would’ve been acceptable had they given me the courtesy of an explanation as to why I was passed up. When asked for that, their only response was “we just decided to go a different way.” I felt a bit deceived due to the strong emphasis on feedback and core values they voiced throughout the interview process.
