Interview
I had three interviews with four people over the course of two months. They asked me to write a "beat memo" along with six pitches. The editors' interview questions were pretty standard and not difficult to answer. I followed up a few times after I didn't hear back in the designated timeline, which kept being pushed back, and told them I had other offers. After another month went by with no word, I accepted another offer.

Question 1
They had several questions regarding my thoughts on Elon Musk.
The interview process was prompt, transparent, and each step of it felt distinct in moving us forward. I've had many interviews that are just a series of conversations with new people where each conversation is the same, and basically is just me repeating my cover letter in spoken word over and over again. This was a way more thoughtful stepwise experience as I moved through it.
