      Account Executive/Customer Service Representative Interview

      26 June 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Invictus Direct (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2019

      Interview

I will try to break down the interview process in depth: you walk in, receptionist greets you, you sit down and wait for the 'ceo' of the company. He greets you, you walk in and asks you very generalized question which will be discussed in the second section. You're more than likely to get the job because there was one guy i seen that walked in with a leather jacket and jeans. Now the second interview is where it gets good. Same routine, you will either be interviewed by him again or a second party 'a corporate trainer'. They tell . you about their 'fortune 500 company' client, which is literally only canadian tire, so they shouldn't be making it seem like it's more than one client. Oh yeah, and also some animal shelter, didn't know they could make the fortunte 500 list but i digress. Basically you have to seem interested and ask obvious questions about the card that you will be selling to people on behalf of canadian tire. From there they will contact you again and . you get started. FIRST off, you are not an account executive or anything of that sort whatsover, to put it in simple terms: you are someone who goes to these locations, and try to sell strangers the 'canadian tire black card', you're basically a field grunt to put it honestly. It doesn't matter if you move to become a coroporate trainer or account executive, your job remains the same you are simply out in the field trying to sell and meet standards. Sure you get train people, but that doesn't change your main duty, which is to sell. So they shouldnt be lying in their job ads about any of that. You either get paid by how much sell on the field ORR for the first week or two you are paid min. wage. If you do not meet standards, then youll probably get fired in two weeks or have a sit down as explained in the interview process. No corporate benefits, no salary, no set pay. If you'd like to go an be a field grunt then this is the position for you.
