Waste of time. They don't know what they are looking for in the candidate. Team members are hardly interested in taking the interview . They are clueless in asking the questions. Even they hardly care to look at the coding assignment solution.
I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Invoke (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2017
Interview
Started with a coffee meeting with the Director of Strategy to get a feel of the job and share my product experiences as a former UX Design Lead and Product Manager. Very intelligent and passionate manager who was also easy to talk to.
Next up, I met with a Product Strategist and the People & Operations Managerat Invoke to discuss my experience and give them a feel for my culture fit. They were both super rad, making me instantly feel comfortable while digging into the questions they sought answers to.
Then I was invited to partake in a take home product challenge. It was a challenging but fair task to assess my "product eyes" and see how I synthesize the task into a 45 minute presentation to the team, similiar to what I now know we do on a very regular basis with clients and key stakeholders.
I also went for a coffee with the CEO who's not only a great person but has a strong vision and is easy to talk openly and honestly with.
