Initial interview with HR... went very well as I have extensive experience in Automotive, Automotive Technology, OEM Sales, SaaS and Fleet adjacent Sales expertise with great success. Eventhough I have extensive experience, contacts and success and was highly recommended for next step in the process, Hiring Manager wouldn't even give me the opportunity to speak with him.
In my opinion, this company's team in Detroit will have a big challenge here in this market when treating industry professionals so poorly. Ultimately, it is a small world in this industry and the same people circle around and talk to each other. There is no reason to ghost people who have gone out of their way to apply, interview and subject themselves to your process for a position they are highly qualified for. People's time is valuable and it is completely unprofessional to not follow through. Good luck to this company - they are gonna need it when they treat people this way.
