      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Iterable (Sydney)

      Interview

Bland typical questions behavioural questions, didn’t bother to take the time to ask about who I was. Typical manager going up the ladder, a manager not a leader… hardly inspiring 😴

      Interview

One of the worst interview processes I have ever experienced , the Talent Partner in the US had her camera off for the screening call, the hiring manager told me I had the job in the interview and then I was ghosted. No word back from the talent partner and when I emailed again to ask for feedback, radio silence.

      Interview

The recruiting team was very responsive and professional. They were very knowledgeable about the role and what the hiring managers were looking for. Gave great feedback and tips to bring to the next interview. Unfortunately, the next interview with the hiring manager was the most unprofessional interview experience I have personally ever had. While I was answering the hiring managers first two questions, he kept yawning while I was talking and with my experience in sales, to me that is a sign of being disengaged and uninterested. While we continued the conversation and spoke about my most recent role, the hiring manager made a comment assuming my recent role as a sales rep was “easy” because the company had large brand recognition. Towards the end of the interview, when I asked about possible hesitations, he mentioned the role requiring experience with complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. Unfortunately, this was not something he had asked about and we had not had a chance to discuss. In reality, I believe I did have the competencies he was looking for as I’ve demonstrated in previous roles but he did not actually ask me questions to uncover if I had those competencies. Additionally, I think it’s fair to say the questions he was asking were assuming I would slide into the organization without any direction (ie it was assumed that since my prospecting strategy at my previous role was different than at Iterable, that I would be unable to adapt to the prospecting strategies within their organization) and that is just not realistic for any seller to be successful.

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself What was your prospecting strategy look like at your previous role? How were your quotas structured? What did your attainment look like? How long were your sales cycles? What were your average deal sizes like? What was your volume of sales like?
