I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at JCPenney
Interview
I was connected to a recruiter from a friend of mine who worked for JCP already. The recruiter contacted me for the generalist position and I met with one of the hiring managers for lunch. A week later I came back for 3 additional onsite interviews. While onsite I was given a tour and walked through the new vision and structure of the company in detail which was extremely helpful. Also during the course of the interview process I was invited to the investor site to watch the videos on the new vision of the company. A week after my final interview with the company I was made an offer of employment with one of the teams I interviewed with. I have to say that the culture and excitement of this company is contagious. It feels very “apple” like in company culture and made my interview experience an excellent one.

Question 1
The most difficult question for me to answer was around how to make yourself important to your business partners and influence them when they are resistant to change and resistant to a new HR partner.
