Went in for a working interview for a client services manager. I have extensive retail/customer service experience in pet specialty and was intrigued by the position. Very busy position so we had time for a tour, some questions and met with HR for more discussion with about 15 minutes left on shift. Was not selected unfortunately but a couple weeks later the store manager position opened and I emailed asking if there would be interest in me in this position as this would be my strong suit and I was very impressed with what they have built there. I got an email back saying there were not interested in me for the client services manager position, so thinking they maybe didn’t read or misunderstood I emailed back saying I’d be interested in the retail management position and never heard from them again. I was very impressed with with what they built and established there and the employees I spoke with seemed to genuinely love the people, place and jobs. I would’ve been very happy to move to the next step but it all worked out in the end. Only bad experience was feeling like I was ignored when inquiring about the other position.
